This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how we treat your information as it relates to our mobile application, MAYA: Me And You Always (the “app”, “Services”). A. Personal Information You Provide to Us.

Registration and Profile Information. When you sign up for an account or register to use our Services, we ask you for your first name, last name, user name, phone number, and email address. You also have the option to add a profile picture.

Communications. If you contact us directly, we may receive additional personal information about you. For example, when you contact our customer support team, we will receive your name, email address, the contents of a message or attachments that you may send to us, and other information you choose to provide.

Your Contacts. If you give us permission to access the address book on your device, we may access and store names and contact information from your address book to facilitate invitations and social interactions that you initiate through our Services and for other purposes described in this privacy policy or at the time of consent or collection.

B. Personal Information We Collect When You Use Our Services.

Device Information. We receive personal information about the device and software you use to access our Services, including IP address, web browser type, operating system version, phone carrier and manufacturer, application installations, device identifiers, mobile advertising identifiers, and push notification tokens.

Usage Information. To help us understand how you use our Services and to help us improve them, we automatically receive product interaction data. This is data that reflects the actions you take when using the app.

User Content. In order to display content sent and received by you (namely messages and other communication types like “waves”), we store the relevant information. That information may include time sent, senders and recipients, message content, etc. Similarly, we facilitate the connection between you and other users when you join a room (live audio conversation). However, data regarding the participant composition of the room is deleted once the room is ended.

User Connections. In order to display your friends lists and other connections with other users, we must collect and maintain relationship data between you and the other users. Practically, this means we maintain data regarding with whom you are friends with and in which groups you belong.

Information collected via Cookies and Similar Technologies.

When you use our Services, we may automatically collect personal information about your use of the Services, including via cookies, beacons, invisible tags, and similar technologies, in your browser and on emails sent to you. Cookies are small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A session cookie disappears after you close your browser. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to our Services.
